“Logic will take you from A-B. Imagination will take you everywhere” – Albert Einstein.
Kat has worked with schools and universities both in England and Northern Ireland. Kat gained a 2:1 (Hons) Degree in Drama at the University of Ulster and has extensive knowledge as a workshop facilitator.
In February 2015 she directed an Alan Bennett Talking Head, ‘A Chip in The Sugar’, as part of the AIM conference Drama series for AS level Performing Arts/Drama/Theatre Studies. This was held for 1,000 students from across London in the Camden centre and the duo facilitated an interactive talk/workshop after the performance.
Her work with the University of Ulster has seen her travel to Derry in Northern Ireland, on numerous occasions, to showcase her productions and facilitate workshops/lectures focusing on directing and playwriting. She has also participated in an open rehearsal session for parents and prospective students, as part of the BA Drama Undergraduate Degree open day and chaired a question and answer session towards the end of the rehearsal.
Kat is actively pursuing her interest in working with schools and more recently she directed an intensive workshop with Fort Pitt Grammar School in London. Here her focus was on the AS Level 2 minute monologue assessment, Theatre Text in Performance. Vocal skills, movement skills and characterisation were analysed and throughly discussed and shaped in a practical format.
